NOTICES

Welcome to all who worship with us today, the Fifth Sunday after the Epiphany.  Today is Children and Youth Sunday at 10 AM when our young persons take important roles in worship. Many thanks to them all! Church School does not meet so everyone can participate in the service. Nursery care is available from 9:45 AM-10:45 AM.  All are invited for refreshments following the 10:00 AM service, hosted today by Millie & Jim Franklin. The adult education series continues at 11:30 AM with more of our “virtual pilgrimage” to the Holy Land.

SouperBowl of Caring: Today is also the day members of the St. Thomas’ Youth Group invite you to participate in a nation-wide effort for hunger relief. If you buy snacks to eat while watching the Super Bowl, plan also to put a few dollars in the specially marked soup kettles provided by the Youth Group. All proceeds go to the Hamilton Food Cupboard.

Help needed: The Coffee Hour sign-up sheet is filling up nicely, but there are still a few Sundays left that need volunteer hosts and several Sundays are open on the Altar Flower donation chart.  A recommended donation of $35 enables the Flower Guild to order what is needed to keep the altar area lovely.  Altar flowers are given in memory of loved ones or in thanksgiving for life’s blessings.  We will add these names and occasions to the prayers of the people on the Sunday for which they are given.  If you would also like to host a coffee hour, one of our mentors (Nancy Heck, Gina Sakal and Ed Sitts) will be happy to explain.
